Het is zonder twijfel een bijzonder stijlvolle iconische auto, deze schitterende Jaguar MKII. En dat is niet alleen om het feit dat het een van de meest bekende klassieke auto’s is. De Jaguar MKII is door zijn stijlvolle verschijning in verschillende bekende televisie series en films gebruikt. Deze in het engelse Coventry geproduceerde saloon is in 1961 geleverd naar Frankrijk in de stijlvolle kleur Old English White met rood lederen interieur. Een prachtige en perfecte kleurencombinatie. En onder de motorkap ligt ook nog eens een heerlijke motor, de 2.4 liter zes cilinder.

In 1982 is de auto in Nederland gekomen en sindsdien met zeer veel zorg en liefde onderhouden. De auto is in de jaren 80 volledig gerestaureerd en ook het motorblok en de versnellingsbak zijn gereviseerd. De laatste eigenaar heeft de auto ruim 30 jaar in bezit (sinds 1993) en heeft liefdevol voor deze Jaguar MKII gezorgd. Dat is duidelijk te zien aan de zeer goede staat waarin de auto verkeert. De schitterende carrosseriekleur Old English White heeft nog steeds zijn diepe glans en ook de diverse chroom- en sierdelen zijn nog in zeer goede staat. De diverse rubberdelen en afdichtingen vertonen wat lichte sporen van gebruik.

Het interieur is zonder enige twijfel adembenemend mooi. Niet alleen vanwege de schitterende dieprode lederen bekleding, maar ook zeker vanwege de uitmuntende conditie waarin het zich bevindt. De lederen bekleding is in zeer goede (bijna nieuw) conditie en ook de rode vloerbekleding is nog in zeer goede staat. Datzelfde is van toepassing op de prachtige hemelbekleding. Het stijlvolle houten dashboard is ook in zeer goede conditie en is schitterend om te zien. De prachtige diverse chroom- en sierdelen zijn in zeer goede staat en hebben een prachtige glans.

Ook onder de motorruimte van deze Jaguar MKII ziet alles er goed onderhouden en verzorgd uit. De 2483 cc zes-in-lijn motor loopt bijzonder soepel en rustig. Het is goed merkbaar dat deze auto met zeer veel zorg is onderhouden. De auto rijdt en schakelt bijzonder soepel, zoals een echte stijlvolle Jaguar betaamt. Dankzij de aanwezige overdrive is het ook op hogere snelheden een heerlijke comfortabele auto. Ook de stuurinrichting voelt goed en solide aan. De remmen functioneren goed en stevig. Deze iconische klassieke Jaguar MKII is niet alleen prachtig om te zien, maar ook zeker bijzonder heerlijk en comfortabel om mee te rijden!
