S2 1970 nut bolt restauratie

Deze Lotus Europa S2 heeft na zijn nut bolt restauratie in 2018 enkel af en toe gereden om alles gangbaar te houden. Hij is werkelijk geheel uit elkaar geweest en er zijn meer dan 500 foto’s van aanwezig!

De motor is ook uit elkaar gehaald en heeft iets meer inhoud en pk’s gekregen. Niet dat dat nodig is met maar net 600kg aan gewicht!

Colin Chapman ontwierp deze auto vanuit zijn motto: "Simplify, then add lightness".
Dat is zeker ook gelukt en op dit moment een zeer ondergewaardeerde klassieker die eigenlijk alleen maar meer waard wordt in de toekomst.

After its nut bolt restoration in 2018, this Lotus Europa S2 was only driven occasionally to keep everything running smoothly. It has really been completely taken apart and there are more than 500 photos of it!

The engine has also been taken apart and given slightly more capacity and horsepower. Not that that is necessary with just 600kg of weight!

Colin Chapman designed this car based on his motto: "Simplify, then add lightness".
That certainly succeeded and is currently a very underrated classic that will actually only become more valuable in the future.
