Saab 95, het combimodel van Saab 96, is ontworpen door de bekende industrieel ontwerper Sixten Sason en geproduceerd door Saab tussen 1960 en 1978. Saab 96 was een doorontwikkeling van Saab 93 en had grote overeenkomsten met zijn voorganger, die op zijn beurt was een verdere ontwikkeling van Saab's eerste personenauto - Saab 92. In 1967 schakelden ze over van tweetaktmotoren naar de V4-motor. In de afgelopen jaren werd de stationwagen de 95 L V4 stationwagen genoemd, omdat de motor van de auto wat meer pk's (68 pk) kreeg en op verschillende punten verbeterde. Deze auto's zijn herkenbaar aan de dikkere bumpers en waren het topmodel van de Saab 95. De Saab 96 was een zeer succesvolle raceauto, vooral in de rally. Hoogtepunten zijn onder meer de overwinningen van Erik Carlsson in de RAC-rally in 1960, 1961 en 1962, de rally van Monte Carlo in 1962 en 1963. Stig Blomqvist won in de RAC-rally in 1971 en de Zweedse rally in 1971, 1972 en 1973. De laatste grote overwinning was de Zweedse rally in 1976, met Per Eklund achter het stuur. In veel van deze rally's fungeerden de stationwagens, Saab 95, als servicewagens en moesten ze net zo hard rijden als de wedstrijdwagens om op tijd de volgende fase te bereiken voor reserveonderdelen en onderhoud. Deze dienstauto's waren vaak beter afgesteld dan de raceauto's om zware lasten aan te kunnen. Mooie exemplaren, zoals deze auto, volledig functioneel en zonder roest, zijn tegenwoordig zeldzaam.

Sinds de restauratie is de auto zorgvuldig onderhouden en door omstandigheden maar weinig mee gereden.
Na de top restauratie spreekt het voor zich dat het lakwerk en de carrosserie in een geweldige conditie verkeren. De passingen van de dorpels, spatborden, portieren, motorkap, kofferdeksel en de grille zijn perfect.
Deze geweldige Saab verkeert in zeer goede staat en de auto rijdt geweldig. Deze combi toont als een plaatje en de motorruimte is fraai gedetailleerd. De auto is voorzien van verchroomde wieldoppen, Vredestein Sprint Classic-banden. Daarnaast beschikt de Saab over koplampwissers en heeft achter uitzetbare tochtruiten. Deze geweldige ‘95 Combi’ staat klaar om van te genieten, een mooier exemplaar is vrijwel niet te vinden!

Saab 95, the combi model of Saab 96, was designed by the well-known industrial designer Sixten Sason and produced by Saab between 1960 and 1978. Saab 96 was a further development of Saab 93 and had great similarities with its predecessor, which in turn was a further development of Saab's first passenger car - Saab 92. In 1967 they switched from two-stroke engines to the V4 engine. In recent years, the station wagon was called the 95 L V4 station wagon, because the engine of the car got a little more horsepower (68 hp) and improved in several points. These cars are recognizable by the thicker bumpers and were the top model of the Saab 95. The Saab 96 was a very successful race car, especially in rally. Highlights include Erik Carlsson's victories in the RAC rally in 1960, 1961 and 1962, the Monte Carlo rally in 1962 and 1963. Stig Blomqvist won in the RAC rally in 1971 and the Swedish rally in 1971, 1972 and 1973. The last big win was the Swedish rally in 1976, with Per Eklund behind the wheel. In many of these rallies, the station wagons, Saab 95, acted as service cars and had to drive as fast as the competition cars to reach the next stage in time for spare parts and maintenance. These service cars were often better tuned than the race cars to handle heavy loads. Beautiful examples, like this car, fully functional and without rust, are rare these days.

Since the restoration, the car has been carefully maintained and has been driven very little due to circumstances.
After the top restoration, it goes without saying that the paint and bodywork are in great condition. The fits of the sills, fenders, doors, hood, trunk lid and grille are perfect.
This great Saab is in very good condition and the car drives great. This combi shows as a picture and the engine compartment is beautifully detailed. The car is fitted with chrome hubcaps, Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. In addition, the Saab has headlight wipers and rear vent windows that can be opened. This great '95 Combi' is ready to enjoy, you will hardly find a nicer example!
